 The FisherPoets Gathering – Home for information about the FisherPoets Gathering, an annual celebration of FisherPoets held at the end of February in Astoria, OR.

KMUN Community Radio

Public radio station KMUN serves the Astoria-Warrenton area. KMUN’s rich broadcast schedule includes The Ship Report. During the FisherPoetry Gathering KMUN also holds special events such as interviews with FisherPoets and live broadcasts from the Liberty Theatre on Friday and Saturday night.

Mark Alan Lovewell and Molly Conole

 Mark Alan Lovewell & Molly Conole, FisherPoet musicians from Martha’s Vineyard who host “Sunday at Sea”, a live show of maritime songs, stories, and good coastal fellowship. 

Larry Kaplan

Born in Boston, Larry now calls both London, England, and Essex, Connecticut home. He worked for many years on traditional vessels in Maine, sailed on and helped restore the Schooner, Bowdoin, and has released four CDs through Folk Legacy Records.

Joel Brady-Power & Tele Aadsen

Nerka Salmon

Joel & Tele are second-generation salmon trollers. They've been running the Nerka (the boat Joel first went to sea on at two weeks old!) together since 2006, hand-delivering their catch to local chefs and markets. They are artists – a writer & a photographer – who approach fishing as another art form, with salmon as their medium.
